Salvador is Amazing!!!

From the plane ride, to the car ride, to the students I worked with at ACBEU, I had the time of my life. The students were so eager to contribute. Public Art rocks!! There is so much rich culture here in Bahia, Africa is in the dress, the music, the buildings, the people...its wonderful.

CULTURAL ENVOY ADVENTURE IN BRAZIL!!!!

Day 2

Wowza the wall is huge!! but I met with the other young artists and they are amazing. Yes, there is a language barrier (everyone speaks Portuguese ) but they all are artists, arts educators, and work with youth. It's awesome to find other people passionate about uplifting communities through the visual arts. We don't speak the same language but we sure do live it! (thats not even half the wall)

CULTURAL ENVOY ADVENTURE IN BRAZIL!!!!

The US Embassy in Brasilia, the Consulates in Rio and Sao Paulo selected me to be apart of their Cultural Envoy Program. I will create 3 murals in 3 cities in brazil along with other young artists and youth. Here I come Sao Paulo, Salvador, and Brasilia!!! I'm truly honored to have the opportunity to travel to a country I've never been, meet other artists, supporters of the arts, and of course create new works of art. I'm totally excited!

I'm here for 2 weeks and will be blogging each day, okay i'm off to a slow start because internet isn't the fasted at my hotel...but here we go...
